In the exhibition Bodject, objects are explored as relational and mutable phenomena. The focus is directed toward what takes place between objects: transitions, displacements, and processes of becoming that elude fixed definitions. The notion of the object as an isolated and stable entity is challenged; instead, objects emerge as parts of ongoing processes in which the boundaries between object, body, and space are both maintained and set in motion.
Within these processes, objects lose some of their apparent self-evidence and open themselves to what has not yet been defined. They move between what can be experienced here and now and what can only be sensed or imagined beyond the immediately given. By tracing the movements of objects and their encounters with bodies and spaces, the exhibition explores how a new reality is continuously brought into being.
Bodject invites viewers to attend to what often passes unnoticed. In the shifts between object, body, and space, the familiar can become strange, and what is taken for granted can be opened up for renegotiation.
