Sarah Hurtigkarl’s solo exhibition, A Spoonful Of, unfolds as an imaginary dreamscape
where nature and the familiar language of cutlery grow into one another.
Rooted in an exploration of existence and non-existence, her works inhabit an in-between
space, suspended in moments where something is coming into being, disappearing, or
transforming. They move between familiarity and unfamiliarity, the real and the imagined.
Through seductive materials, Hurtigkarl shifts what we recognize, inviting a more
instinctive and embodied way of seeing. The familiar becomes strange, while the strange
can feel unexpectedly close.
Within this space, daydreaming becomes a form of passage, inviting the viewer to drift
away from the tangible world and into a more speculative and poetic space.
